Have you ever largly won the early game on most lanes but couldn’t win a teamfight ?
At Coachailytics, we think most games are hugely imbalanced in the picking phase. Most players are familiar with the basis a lane countering, but choosing a champion that counters an opponent’s, even if not your direct matchup, doesn’t get countered by any opponent’s champion, and complements your team’s can be quite hard especially since every ranked game is different.
To solve this problem and help you choose a champion according to the champions already picked we are developping picking tools. Our first tool helps you choose champions based on winning rates of paired champions. We evaluate the winning rates of every available champions with every teamate’s and opponent’s champions and choose the 6 best champions for you to choose from. You can then learn the possible synergies and counters to build the best possible teams.
Let’s take an exemple :

We can see in the image above that 2 champions have been picked on each sides. We will here analyze the possible pick of Irelia. For Irelia on the blue side we have the winning rates in the following image :

We can see in the image above, that irelia has been chosen for it’s winning rate against ashe. Irelia might not be a good support and will most likely be more fitting for the toplane, but Irelia still counters ashe in the middle and late game. This kind of global thinking can help having more interesting or easier middle and late games by avoiding to pick a team that globally counters oneself.
Irelia is also interesting here because she can synergize with Hwei. This is also often overlooked, your pick needs to be made in accordance to your teamate’s in order to have a decent middle and late game. For exemple, Hwei and Ashe might need a champion to defend them from enemy’s attacks, your team might be based on a combo you can amply or help setup… In the future we will developp better tools to better help you pick your champions in the particular context you are facing.
